The first program, “Life in the Dead of Winter,” is happening on Monday from 1-2pm at Voas Nature Area. According to the Conservation Board, the program features a hike looking for signs of life while also discussing some of the native plants and animals that survive in Iowa’s winters.

The other program, “Stargazing and Constellation Stories” that will be on Tuesday evening from 6:30-8pm at the Kuehn Conservation Area. The Conservation Board notes with this program, a naturalist will join participants to teach about building and reading a star chart, measuring distances in the sky and identifying the common constellations.
