The first team out of Dallas County will be represented at the First Lego League State Championship this weekend.

The First Lego League Championships will be held at Iowa State University in Ames on both Saturday and Sunday. The team from Dallas County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension & Outreach will feature six kids that are between the ages 9-14. 

A representative from ISU Extension & Outreach notes that the kids will participate in a robot competition, demonstrating robot design, innovation projects, and core values. The representative hopes that the students have fun at the competition with the basics behind designing a robot, learning how to strategize as well as working as a team.
