The Panorama Girls Wrestling team are preparing for the District tournament after a long three weeks of not competing. While Coach Wagner admits to being nervous due to the three week hiatus from competition, he believes that the preparation and faith that this team has in their leaders, in him, and in themselves will be the best preparation that the Lady Panthers can have. When asked how the girls are feeling heading into districts on Friday, Coach Wagner said, “with everything that we’ve done and all the work that we have put I’m confident in what they (the girls) know and what they understand. They have my total support.”

Coach Wagner states that although sending some girls to state is the goal of course, he is proud of the team for their commitment to the sport, to each other, and to the community no matter the outcome of districts come Friday. Regardless of the outcome, Coach Wagner states, “go out and watch a girls wrestling tournament if they haven’t and see all the hard work and dedication that these girls do. It’s amazing to watch. Just sitting back and seeing all the camaraderie, it will steal your heart.”

Coach Wagner and the Lady Panthers Wrestling team gear up for battle on Friday in Sioux City, ready to shake the dust off and jump back into competitive action.
