The West Central Valley Wildcats faced off against the Woodward-Granger Hawks resulting in both Wildcats falling short in their contests. For the Lady Wildcats, it was a nail biter of a battle, as the Lady Wildcats barely fell short by three points, losing 38-35. This loss makes the historical record between these two teams even at 15-15 dating back to January 9th of 2010.

For the boys, although the Wildcats scored in the double digits in every quarter, it seemed that the Hawks always had an answer for the Wildcats as the first quarter ended at 14-11 going in the Hawks’ favor. However, the Wildcats had no answer for the Hawks in the second and third quarter, allowing the Hawks to score 19 in the second and 18 in the third. Although the Wildcats were neck and neck with the Hawks on points in the fourth, the lead from the previous quarters would hold back the Panthers to a loss.

The Lady Wildcats fall to 5-7 while the boys fall to 5-8. The Wildcats prepare for battle on Friday, against the Van Meter Bulldogs.
