The Perry Jayette basketball team dropped their second straight conference road game Tuesday night in Jewell, losing to South Hamilton 44-25.  Both teams played without their top scorers as Maci Tunink sat for the second straight game (achilles) while McKenna Galetich was absent for the Hawks.  Baskets were tough to come by in the first half with the Hawks grabbing a 17-9 lead at the intermission.

The key stretch of the game was the start of the second half when South Hamilton changed their full court pressure and started the quarter on a quick 7-0 run.  Tanna Thompson hit back to back three’s during that stretch as she finished with 11 points in the second half.  Ashlyn Ericson led all scorers with 19 points.

Taryn Nehring turned in an outstanding performance for the Jayettes, scoring a season high 12 points.  The junior guard used her speed and ball handling to break down the Hawk defense while adding a three point b
