Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School is sending nine teams to the Iowa High School Speech Association State Large Group Contest. 

ADM Speech Coach Jacque Seidl says 13 teams went to the district competition this past weekend at Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that nine of the 13 teams received a Division One rating, and are advancing to the state competition. The teams comprise of eight varsity level performances and one freshman team. 

The events that will be participating at the state competition consist of Varsity Reader’s Theatre, Varsity Choral Reading, Varsity One Act, Varsity Improv, Varsity Short Film, Varsity Ensemble Acting, and Freshman Solo Mime. The State Speech Large Group Contest is on Saturday, February 3rd at Ankeny Centennial.
