The girls and boys high school bowling teams from Greene County and OABCIG faced each other in Ida Grove at Ida Bowl on Monday with the host Falcons taking both matches. The girls’ final was 2,173-1,579 pins and the boys was 2,859-2,784.

The high score for the Greene County girls was posted by Allison Fields at 144-130=274. Coach John Woodford told Raccoon Valley Radio the girls are improving, they’re trying, and having fun.

Carter Fecher of the Rams led all bowlers in series (425) and high game (256). Lane Fields rolled a high game of 246 and a 397 series. The 246 game was second only to Fecher’s 256 on the day. The Greene County coach said the Rams were up by 42 pins going into the Baker games, but among the OABCIG Baker games were scores of 269-257-203. He added the Rams had a season high score of 932 in the five Baker games.

The Rams host Emmetsberg on Thursday, which is Senior Night at Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson with seniors honored after the meet.
