Alecia Lleshi, Linden, was traveling in the 13000 block of 270th Street, when she lost control due to icy conditions on a curve and slide into path of a vehicle driven by Daniel Velez, Des Moines. During the collision, Ms. Lleshi’s seat belt failed and she reported injuries that she was treated for and transported to Methodist hospital by Dallas County EMS. Mr. Velez did not report any injuries. Damage to Ms. Lleshi’s vehicle was estimated at $6000. Damage to Mr. Velez’s vehicle was estimated at $6000. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Michael Ferguson, Adel, was traveling in the 33000 block of Hwy 169 when he slowed for traffic in front of him. His vehicle was then struck by a vehicle driven by Bianca Fuquey, De Soto, who was following him. No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Ferguson’s vehicle was reported at $3000. Damage to Ms. Fuquey’s vehicle was estimated at $5000. Ms. Fuquey was issued a citation for Following Too Close.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
