Gregory Hawbaker, Dallas Center, was traveling on 14th Street at Cherry Street in Dallas Center, when Ryan Rush, Waukee, was unable to stop at the intersection due to ice and snow on the roadway.  No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Rush’s vehicle was estimated at $100.  Damage to Mr. Hawbaker’s vehicle was estimated at $1200.

Jan. 19

Connor Stuhr, Casey, was traveling on State Street in Dexter when he attempted to make a turn onto Barton Street.  He slide into the stop sign, knocking it down due to the icy conditions.  Damage to Mr. Stuhr’s car was estimated at $100.  Damage to the Stop Sign was estimated at $500.

Jan. 20

Bruce Pierce, age 66, 110 Bel Aire Dr,  Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation.

Hearns Sanchez, age 34, 1626 NW 84th St, Clive, was arrested on a warrant for Operating While Under The Influence.

Jan. 21

Paul Woody, Perry, was traveling on W Ave at 190th, while he was using GPS to navigate since he is not familiar with the area.  He went through the intersection and went airborne, landing in brush on the other side of the intersection.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $25000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
