One Greene County library was recently awarded two grants totaling $10,000.
The Churdan Public Library was the recipient of two $5,000 grants from the America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Bayer Fund. The grants were awarded on behalf of Duane Miller and Cheir Ferguson. According to the library, the funds will be used to purchase new books and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities for the children’s department. Other improvements include upgrading the computers and software and a new multifunction laser printer that patrons can use to print directly from their smartphones.
Over the years, the Churdan Library has been previous recipients of the America’s Farmers Grow Communities Grants.
