An annual fundraiser to support the Greene County Junior/Senior Prom is happening soon.

The Junior Class Chili Supper Fundraiser will be this coming Tuesday from 5-7pm in the high school commons and 5-6pm will be carry-outs on the north side of the building. Junior Haley Carman encourages everyone to support this year’s prom.

“Usually the chili supper makes pretty good money and it’s popular, and it’s just very easy to do during basketball games or wrestling meets. Because we have lots of people from the county here, as well as other schools, and it’s usually pretty easy and simple, I think. So it’s just an ongoing tradition because of how well it does.” 

Junior Brooklyn Roberts talks about the initial details about prom.

“Prom is going to be held Saturday, April 20th. We’ve figured out the theme, which is going to be ‘Hollywood.’ We haven’t really figured out any slogan or anything yet, but the colors are going to be red, black and gold.” 

The Chili Supper Fundraiser includes chili, cinnamon rolls and bottled water for a free-will donation or a $5 minimum suggested donation per person.
