The Perry School District will hold its first meeting of 2024 on Monday.
The Perry School District is coming off of a tough week after horrific events took place on Thursday with a shooting at the high school. The Board of Education will convene on Monday, January 8th, at 6pm at the Clarion Room at the School Administration Center (1102 Willis Ave. in Perry).
One major focal point of the meeting will be on electing a Vice President (VP) and Administrator Oath of Office. Last month, in December, Director Eddie Diaz declined a nomination for VP. Board Secretary, Kent Bultman will lead the nomination process.
The board will also consider a supplemental amount for the At-Risk and Drop Out Prevention Services. A representative will give a rundown of the program, plus discuss the modified supplemental amount, which exceeds $700,000.
The meeting is open to the public and will again be held at the Clarion Room at the School Administration Center at 6pm this coming Monday.
