7:45am: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Madison Streets resulted in Rodolfo Fregoso Lopez of Panora being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

4:58pm: An officer was assisted by deputies with a two-vehicle accident at Elm and Central. A 2016 Ford Taurus, owned by the State of Iowa and being operated by Kevin McArther of Sheldahl, was traveling northbound on Elm Street. As he passed Central Ave, an eastbound vehicle failed to stop at the posted stop sign on Central, and struck McArthur’s vehicle. The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was owned and operated by Brad Podlesak of Jefferson. Both drivers were transported to the Greene County Medical Center with injuries by the GC Ambulance. The State of Iowa vehicle sustained $13,000.00 in damages and was a total loss. The Podlesak vehicle suffered a reported $25,000.00 in damages. Charges are pending at this time.

5:57pm:, Jessica Ott reported as she was parked in the 100 Block of East Lincoln Way, a vehicle beside her caused a door ding on her 2005 GMC Envoy. The officer spoke to the other party involved, but did not feel his actions were intentional. Damage to the door was estimated at $300.00.

11:34pm: An officer located a vehicle parked in the 100 Block of East Lincoln Way Street, with the rear hatch open. The officer made contact with the owner. Nothing was missing and the hatch was closed.
