Now that it’s 2024, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is reminding everyone to renew or newly purchase their respective licenses for the year.
Iowa DNR Conservation Officer Aaron Arthur tells Raccoon Valley Radio hunting, fishing and fur trapping licenses are now available for 2024, which includes the annual licenses, along with extended year and combos. He points out there are a variety of ways for people to purchase their appropriate licenses, including online.
“We have a great app called, ‘Go Outdoors Iowa,’ you can download your licenses at. It is legal to carry your licenses on your phone, except for when you’re deer hunting you have to have a deer tag with you because there’s tagging requirements.”
Other ways to obtain a license is through a county recorder’s office or another in-store vendor. Click the link below to purchase a license online. While licenses can be purchased anytime, the 2023 licenses expire on January 10th.
