The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has a couple of fun events coming up in the next few weeks.

Program Director Meghan McBride says the first is an after school Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program at the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library on January 15th. She adds that the STEM activity will involve snow and winter themes. If there isn’t any snow by the time of the program, McBride adds that she does have a way to do the experiment without the snow. She shares the next event after the STEM program is the Women in Ag Steering Committee meeting. The meeting will take place at the Extension Office on January 23rd, and will work to see what kinds of programs women in ag in Guthrie County would like to see or participate in in the coming year.
