Dallas Center – Grimes athletics were able to have a fantastic year in which they were able to find multiple team state championships along with some great individual results along the way as well.

The girls basketball was able to win a state championship as they were able to dominate competition for the majority of the season, and were able to grab a thrilling win in overtime over North Polk in overtime to secure the championship.

The girls soccer team also was able to win their 2nd consecutive state championship, dominating in Des Moines to conclude a fantastic season under Coach Dan James.

Girls wrestling participated in their first ever sanction state tournament, and both the boys and girls cross country teams were able to find some top 5 performances at Fort Dodge.

After a great year for DCG athletics, they will be looking to continue their strong tradition in 2024 and hope that they can find more hardware in the new year.
