The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has several library events planned for the next month.
Program Director Meghan McBride says the Extension will have a program at the Casey Public Library on December 20th, with a festive holiday story, with a holiday themed craft and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) experiment. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the first of two events that they will have at the Stuart Public Library.
“On December 22nd, we have a Lego Balloon Car Challenge at the Stuart Public Library, and that is at 3pm. So if you enjoy Legos, you can create your own Lego Balloon Car, and you can see how far or how fast it will go.”
McBride mentions the second event at the Stuart Public Library will be about drones on December 28th from 11am to noon and 1pm to 2pm, and that there will also be a snow/snowman themed STEM event at the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library on January 15th at 3:30pm.
