The Jefferson Garden Club recently made a donation to coincide with a public art project in the downtown square.
The Garden Club used $2,000 to purchase two large metal butterflies sculptures that will be installed in the newest alleyway project, Imagination Alley on the west side of the square. Artist Hilde DeBruyne has been featured with several works on art in Tower View Team’s Ring Out for Art Contest as well as all over the country, and she helped design, construct, and powder coated painting them purple and gold, as the Garden Club wanted them to match the overall color scheme of Imagination Alley.
The two sculptures will be installed soon by a contractor working at Art on the Fly. The money the Jefferson Garden Club used was from their biannual Holiday Tour of Homes fundraisers, which the next one will be on December 7, 2024.
