
Boone jumped out to a quick 18-0 first quarter lead and never looked back Tuesday night as the Toreadors defeated Perry 53-21 in non-conference basketball. Erin Ades led an aggressive full court, trapping defense in smothering the Perry offense early. Ades finished with a game high 24 points and 5 steals.
Perry battled back in the second quarter and outscored Boone 12-10 to trail 28-12 at the break. Taryn Nehring provided a spark off the bench finishing with a team high 8 points including 6 in the first half. Maci Tunink added five points.
The Boone pressure created over 20 Perry turnovers on the night.
Perry slips to 1-1 and will travel to Ogden tomorrow night. Boone continues their strong start by improving to 4-1.
