The 2023-24 high school basketball seasons are underway for Paton-Churdan. The Rockets played on Tuesday night vs. Boyer Valley in Dunlap in Rolling Valley Activities Conference play. P-C lost the girls’ game 59-13 and then fell to BV in the boys’ game, 66-39. These were the first games of the season for both teams of Rockets.

Coach Greg Jacobs saw his Paton-Churdan boys trail by just five points at halftime, 23-18, but a 43 point second half for the home team put the game out of reach. The Rockets were led in scoring by freshman Trevon Keely, who scored 17 points in his varsity debut. Sophomore Phoenix Hartman added seven points.

The Boyer Valley girls built a 32-5 halftime lead and went on from there.
