Panorama (Panora) visited the Greene County Rams last night for a girl/boy basketball doubleheader in non-conference play. The games were the first at home for Greene County and the first of the season for the Panthers. Panorama won the girls’ game 56-23 and the Panthers took the boys’ contest by a 62-46 score. Both games were broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
Greene County fell to 0-3 in girls’ basketball as the Class 2A number three ranked Panthers were too much for the Rams. Kaycee Pittman had a career best 12 points for Greene County.
The boys’ game saw the Rams led 11-3 early, then a Panorama scoring run of 20-3 put them ahead to stay. The Rams got to within 52-46 midway through the fourth quarter, but the Panthers scored the final 10 points of the game. Nathan Behne had 11 points with nine by Gabe Ebersole and eight for Trey Schilling. Freshman Trey Boettcher had 16 points for the Panthers.
