All three counties in the Raccoon Valley Radio area saw an increase in unemployment last month.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Greene County went up 0.4 percent from September to October to 2.6 percent. Dallas County also jumped up 0.4 percent from September to October to 2.7 percent. There was a 0.3 percent increase in the unemployment rate for Guthrie County from September to October to three percent. 

The statewide unemployment rate had an increase of 0.2 percent from September to October to 3.2 percent. The national unemployment rate for October was 3.9 percent.
