Visitation with family present for Esther G. Weaver, 104, of Jefferson, will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on
Friday, December 1, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 2nd also at
the church. Burial will take place in the Jefferson Cemetery. Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson is in
charge of these arrangements.  Esther is survived by
her eight grandchildren: Erin Stokes (Anthony) of Washington, Kelly Cadden of
Washington, Charles Francis Thompson (Katherine) of Alendale, NJ, Kristina Kay
Mullen (Duane) of Castlewood, South Dakota, John Kurt Thompson of Ames,
Matthew Oren Thompson (Leah) of Jefferson, Michael Kieth Thompson (Rebecca)
of Des Moines, and Philip Wesley Thompson of Boone; five great-grandchildren;
sons-in-law Charles Thompson of Jefferson and Bill Cadden; and stepchildren:
Donald Buswell (Kathy), Michael Buswell, Linda Booth (Larry), Sheri Parks, Susan
Harman (John), and Dorene Tuhn (Jack).
