Today is known as Small Business Saturday and it’s a chance to do some patronage to all small businesses in Iowa.

Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says all of the businesses in Jefferson and Greene County are considered to be small businesses, and have connections with.

“But it’s the people we know, it’s our neighbors, it’s folks whose tax money stays right here, who are re-investing in their business right here. And a big part of making the economy thrive is our small businesses here in Greene County. So make sure to support them as well as we get kicking off here on the holiday shopping season.” 

Wetrich encourages everyone to always shop local first anytime of the year.
