The bowling and girls’ basketballs seasons for the Greene County Rams began last week, but the first full week of Winter sports is this week. The Rams have competition scheduled for girls and boys bowling, girls and boys basketball, and boys’ wrestling this week, which is the full array of sports Greene County has in the Winter months.

Bowling and basketball is on Monday’s calendar with the girls and boys hosting Ballard’s (Huxley) bowlers at Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson at 4 p.m. Greene County sends its basketball teams on the road Monday night to face Ogden in a non-conference girl/boy doubleheader on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The girls play at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow. Ogden’s girls are 1-0 and the Rams 0-1, and the boys’ game will be the season opener for both teams.

Ram wrestlers begin the season at Ogden on Tuesday with a 5:30 p.m. quadrangular with the host Bulldogs, PCM (Monroe), and Van Meter. Greene County basketball opens the home portion of the schedule on Tuesday with non-conference opponent Panorama (Panora) visiting the Rams inside the high school gym in Jefferson on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
