November 15

Floyd Peterman, Corning, was traveling  in the 17000 block of N Ave, when he hit a vehicle driven by Jessica Kimball, Bouton.  Ms. Kimball was waiting to turn onto 170th street when her vehicle was hit.  Mr. Peterman’s semi pushed Ms. Kimball’s vehicle into the ditch, which caused it to roll.  Damage was estimated to Ms. Kimball’s vehicle at $10000.  Damage to Mr. Peterman’s semi was estimated at $10000.  Mr. Peterman was cited for Failure To Stop In Assured Distance. 

November18

Sheri Rooker, age 56, no address given, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms. 

Nicholas Adams, age 24, 3811 SW 3rd St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked. 

Stuart Leahy, age 33, 16618 Wildem Dr, Clive, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence, Possession Of Controlled Substance and Possession Of Contraband In Correctional Institution.  He was also cited for Speeding, Failure To Maintain Control  and Failure To Provide Proof Of Financial Liability.  

Lisa Brickman, Redfield, was driving in the 33000 block of L Ave, when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $7500.

A juvenile driver was in the 16000 Block of Wendover Ave when they lost control on a turn and went into the ditch.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $1500.  The car was driven from the scene. 

Mickayla Kenworthy, age 28, 2714 34th St, Des Moines, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.  She was also cited for Failure To Maintain Control and Leave Scene Of Accident.  She drove her vehicle onto the train tracks near 360th Street, striking a parked train.  Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $8000.  Damage to the train car was minimal. 

November 19

Dalton Matt, age 27, 607 East St, Elgin, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked. 

Derek Gomer, age 26, no address, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear for court on a Violation Of Probation. 

Robert Slater,  Arion, Iowa, was driving on Highway 141 at R Ave, when he hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

Kiya Determan, Norwalk, was driving I80 at the Grand Prairie Pkwy entrance ramp, when a semi next to her hit a deer.  The deer was knocked into her lane and she ran over it, causing disabling damage to her vehicle.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $3000.  

November 20

Stephen Penrod, age 42, Fort Des Moines Residential Facility, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation Terms. 

Shawn Jones, age 40, 1550 L St, Fort Dodge, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation Terms. 

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
