Two unique holiday opportunities are coming up in Adel.

Adel Partners Chamber President Deb Bengston says the Hometown Holiday Celebration and the Hometown Holiday Tour are happening December 1st and 2nd. On December 1st will be the first of two “Sip and Sample” events where everyone is invited to several activities. Friday’s festivities will begin at 1pm with Mrs. Claus at the Adel Public Library with other crafts and entertainment until 3pm. Then at 4:45pm, local scouts will sing Christmas Carols on the northeast corner of the downtown square, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree and wreaths. Friday’s events wrap up from 5-7:30pm where people can “Sip and Sample” from the different businesses and visit Santa at Harvey’s Greenhouse.

Saturday, December 2nd has lots in store including Breakfast with Santa at the Adel Fire Station from 7-10am, followed by the Hometown Holiday Tour from 1-3pm that includes four locations in Adel that are decorated for the holiday season. Tickets for the tour are $5 per person and can be purchased online or at Adel Health Mart, Azalea Lane, and Harvey’s Greenhouse. The locations for the Hometown Holiday Tour can be found below.
