The two school districts that make up the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center district have been meeting jointly since this summer, but did not for November.

AC/GC Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that they chose not to hold a joint meeting because the Guthrie Center School Board had new members joining. He adds that the Adair – Casey School Board had some discussion items to take care of that only affected their district.

“When we looked at the Adair – Casey meeting, we had a few discussion items as we got into discussions, really looking at Little Smiles Daycare and started discussing our agreement that we had with them. That was for a licensed teacher at the time. We don’t have a licensed teacher there. So we just had that discussion on what that looks like and how we can support the program. So we had to end that agreement.”

Rasmussen mentions that the two Boards will also meet separately in December, as the AC Board will be swearing in their new members.
