The Adel Library has a couple of youth activities happening tomorrow.
Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says any kindergarten through fifth grader is encouraged to stop by the library from 10-11am for a special program with Dallas County ISU Extension for “Scurrying Squirrels.” Puck points out that participants will get materials and other items to engineer squirrels and their movements, as well as exemplify a squirrel’s behavior to gather nuts for the winter time. Puck talks about the partnership the library now has with the local Extension Office.
“They are really an important contact for our local libraries and have ‘free of charge’ helped out all of us libraries with different educational programming. And so we are very grateful for all of their efforts and assistance in these programs.”
Another youth-oriented program is happening later in the day tomorrow from 4-5pm with Elementary Art and Beads for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Puck says participants will get to use perler, bug and beaded beads to make keychains, bracelets, and necklaces. Click the link below to register for the Extension Office program in the morning.
