The Panorama School Board met in regular session November 13th.

Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the meeting started off with some good news from the district, including the yearbook club achieving Josten’s 2023 National Yearbook Program at the gold level. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio another part of the good news report.

“We had five members of our band that were recently selected for the Northern Festival of Bands at UNI. So that’s never happened before, which is a great thing for our new band teacher. And so Mr. Shorey is really excited for this experience for those kids.”

Huebner mentions that the Board then heard a report on the middle school woodshop class, who are working on many projects, and approved an early retirement policy. He adds that they also approved a student teaching agreement with Grand View University, and a policy on discipline for students who make threats of violence or cause incidents of violence.
