The Perry Chamber Lighted Parade is happening later this week and there’s a new incentive to be in the parade.

Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the Lighted Parade will take place on Friday with lineup at 6pm at the intersection of 2nd and Otley Streets and the parade to begin at 7pm. Pasutti points out that new this year for those individuals, businesses, and organizations that pre-register will be entered into a drawing to win a top prize from the Matt and Shanda Carstens Family Foundation.

“So to encourage people to commit to coming, to plan on it, we’re encouraging pre-registration and it’s just on a Google form. The prize is the suite during one of the Iowa Wolves or Iowa Wild games. So you get to choose and then you get to enjoy viewing the games from the suite. So one lucky winner will be able to take part in that just for pre-registering and showing up to the parade as a participant.”

Pasutti adds the cash prizes have also been helped out by the Matt and Shanda Carstens Family Foundation with first place for the best, biggest and brightest parade entry will take home $350, second place is $250 and third place will get $150.
