Tomorrow everyone is invited to a unique artistic event happening in Jefferson.

Tower View Team is hosting the 3rd Annual Ekphrasis event at 2pm at History Boy Theatre Company. The featured speaker is Akwi Nji, whose credentials include work done on stage at California’s Wine Country and New York Fashion Week. Her most recent performances in poetry and spoken word includes “Correspondence,” which is a short film of choreopoetry that was funded by the Iowa Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Along with Nji will be an interpretation portion of the event where ten poets were charged with creating poems from an assigned piece of art from ten artists.

The free event is open to the public.
