Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball opens their season tonight when they hit the road to take on the Ballard Bombers. It is the first game of the season for both of these teams.

The two teams have had a wonderful rivalry the last few years, splitting the season series last year, Ballard winning 56-48 in November before DCG got revenge in the state semifinals 33-32.

DCG will be looking to rely on key returners along with some new comers in what should be a fantastic matchup. They will look to limit turnovers, show great energy defensively, and see how well they execute offensively.

The game will be played at 7:30 at Ballard High School, as DCG looks to start off their title defense in strong fashion.
