The Greene County Libraries Association is hosting a teen-related event tomorrow.

The “Teen Night Out” will be at the Scranton Community Center from 7-9pm tomorrow night. Marilyn Tilley with the Churdan Public Library says there will be basketballs, as well as scooters, bowling, dodgeballs available in the gym, among other activities. She points out in another room will be boardgames, a ping pong game and card games, along with music for teens who want to sing along or dance. Additionally, snacks will be provided.

Tilley notes that the Greene County Libraries Association thought the Scranton Community Center would be a great facility to host an event like this for teens. She adds that GCLA cooperates together to offer a variety of programs for all age groups and with teens it’s tough for them to get to their libraries with their busy schedules. They also want to create a safe and comfortable environment for teens to hang out and be social with one another.

The Teen Night Out event tomorrow is for any youth ages ten and older and it is free. The event is co-sponsored by the Greene County Board of Supervisors.
