Tuesday, November 14th
6:42am: Linda Johnston reported a vehicle had hit the building overnight at 308 West Greenewood Road and caused damage to the wall. The officer’s investigation showed a 2007 Nissan Altima, owned and operated by William Richardson of Jefferson, jumped the curb and struck the building from a private parking lot. The vehicle suffered only minor damages of $500.00. The building wall had a reported $7500.00 in damages. No citation was issued as it occurred on private property.
6:43am: A caller reported a crying female was attempting to get through a window at 307 North Olive Street. The officer made contact with the female, who had locked herself out of her apartment. The officer was able, with permission, to crawl through the window and unlock the door.
3:38pm: An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 1200 Block of North Elm Street. A 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe, owned and operated by Tara Quirk of Grand Junction, was northbound on North Elm Street. A 2023 Chrysler Voyager, owned and operated by Steven Sillyman of Grand Junction, was southbound and turned left in front of Quirk. The Quirk vehicle had a reported $2000.00 in damages, while the Sillyman vehicle had a reported $500.00 in damage. Sillyman was cited for, “Fail to Yield Upon a Left Turn.”
8:08pm: A caller advised of a possible Intoxicated Driver on Hwy. 4, heading to Jefferson from Churdan. The officers did not locate the vehicle in Jefferson.
10:57pm: Ryan Brown advised he was out of town and his dog was loose near Head and Maple Streets. The officer did not locate the animal.
