The National FFA Convention took place at the beginning of the month.
West Central Valley FFA sent a group of individuals including seniors Haley Wachter, Kylee Chesterman and Karly Caudle, along with Juniors Cadence Heilman and Tyler Abbott. Wachter and Chesterman tell Raccoon Valley Radio about the things they enjoyed doing at the convention, with their statements shared respectively.
Haley: “While I was there, I enjoyed going to workshops and learning about resumes and career skills. I also enjoyed going to the expo and talking with different companies and colleges and learning about them.”
Kylee: “My favorite thing at the convention was probably the expo. Just talking to different people, meeting lots of new people. Making those connections was really cool.”
The five members also state that even though it was hard work to be able to go, they enjoyed every step of the process, and recommend that other members and future members do the same so that they can take part in something special like the National Convention as well.
