The Perry Performing Arts Center will be hopping with music this weekend.
Perry Performing Arts Center Chair Cathy Clark says Cesar Munos will be putting on a musical show at 2pm. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio is a Mexican native and lived in Perry for a while, before moving to Des Moines. Clark talks about why the Perry Performing Arts Center looks for a variety of different musical acts.
“We try to do something every year to promote different ethnic groups, different kinds of music, and Cesar Munos is going to be playing cumbias music from love songs to tropical tunes. The music is upbeat and will make you want to dance.”
Clark adds Munos performs at festivals and parties, while also donating his time to playing charity events. This show is part of the Fine Arts Series, which is free and open to the public.
