Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball will be looking to see what they can do tomorrow in their first scrimmage of the season, as they will be taking on Ankeny Centennial in a game that won’t count towards either teams final record.
DCG is coming off of a state championship from a season ago, and return a good chunk of that roster as they look to defend their title.
Some of the things that DCG will be focused on is running quality offense, showing energy and execution on the defensive end, and making sure that they get rotations and players on the roster the opportunity to play. Also making sure that they communicate and get the word out will be important to their success.
The girls will also have a varsity scrimmage against Southeast Polk next week in Grimes, before they open the season next Friday against the Ballard Bombers.
