Today begins the start of the 2023-24 high school girls’ basketball season at Greene County High School. Tori Ogden begins her third season as head coach and the Rams will hope to stop a streak of five straight losing seasons where Greene County has won just 14 games while losing 94.

Four starters graduated from the 2022-23 team that went 1-21 after starting the season with 20 straight losses. Going back the previous 16 seasons, the Rams have won more games than they’ve lost just twice, boing 11-10 in 2017-18, and 12-9 in 2008-09.

Despite most of the starters from last season having graduated, the Rams do return at least seven players with varsity experience, and Coach Ogden feels the program has made strides since she took the head coaching job in 2021.
