The fall sports season has come to an end for the AC/GC Chargers.

The football team faced their first and final loss of the season last Friday, as the Madrid Tigers were able to outlast them for a chance to head to the UNI-Dome. The cross country teams made a statement at the state meet, with both teams taking a spot in the Top 5. The boys team secured 2nd place with the help of a first place finish from senior Andrew Mahaffey, and the girls team was able to bring home 5th place. The Chargers volleyball team, under guidance of some key seniors, made their way to the regional finals, before a powerhouse Dike-New Hartford team ended their season.

Coaches for all three teams have talked about how proud of the teams they are, and emphasized how hard they worked to get to the points they did. With fall sports over now though, AC/GC will be looking to get things started off quickly with the basketball and wrestling teams. The first doubleheader of the season for the Chargers basketball programs will be November 28th, as they head to Atlantic to take on the Trojans. For the wrestling programs, the girls begin the season by heading to Southwest Valley on November 18th, and the boys team begins the season with a quad at Nodaway Valley on November 30th
