The AC/GC Chargers football team will be competing in their final home game of the season tonight, as they host the Madrid Tigers, with the winner of the game heading to play in the semifinals at the UNI-Dome.

Both teams are 10-0 on the season, and have been ranked in the Top 10 in Class A all season as well. Junior quarterback Jathan South leads the Chargers in passing and rushing yards, with 8 completions on 24 throws, 249 yards and 3 touchdowns in the air, along with 126 carries for 1,104 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground. Senior Anthony Solorzano leads in receiving yards, with 5 receptions for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns, and adds 956 yards and 9 touchdowns on the ground, while fellow senior Tegan Slaybaugh leads the team defensively with 63 tackles, 3 of which are for a loss of yards, half a sack and a fumble recovery.

For the Tigers, junior Preston Wicker leads in passing and rushing yards, with 48 completions on 79 attempts, 607 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air, and 160 carries for 1,425 yards and 24 touchdowns on the ground. Senior Jayce Fuson leads in receiving yards with 11 receptions for238 yards and 3 touchdowns, while fellow senior Nash Ramirez leads defensively with 70 tackles, 7 of which are for a loss of yards, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery and 3 interceptions.

AC/GC and Madrid have faced each other 4 times before, with the Tigers leading the series 3-1. Madrid won the 2010,2011 and 2013 games, while AC/GC won the 2012 game. Kickoff is at 7pm at Charger Stadium in Guthrie Center. The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will be broadcasting the game, beginning with pregame coverage starting at 6:30pm.
