The Perry Chamber is seeking nominations for its board of directors.

Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says there are three open seats of the 12 on the board, with the three-year term ending at the end of this calendar year. The responsibilities of a board member include making decisions on behalf of the Chamber membership, attend monthly board meetings and any additional meetings as needed, participate on a committee that advance’s the Chamber’s strategic goals, and attend Chamber functions as your schedule allows.

Pasutti says nominations are accepted through tomorrow and she explains the next steps following that initial deadline.

“And then that’ll be an ongoing or a rolling basis that we reach out to those individuals, notify them of the nomination. If they accept the nomination, we have a short questionnaire application that is due Friday, November 3rd. And then from there we’ll compile those (and) the current board will take a look at them and make a recommendation.”

The Annual Director Election Meeting takes place on Monday, November 20th at 1pm via Zoom, where all Chamber members are encouraged to attend and elect board members for the  upcoming three-year term. Pasutti points out that if someone wants to be nominated, they must be a representative of a Chamber business member or organization in good standing.
