Early voting continues ahead of the November 7th election for city and school boards in Iowa.
According to Dallas County Auditor Julia Helm, absentee in-person voting is underway at her office, located by 210 North 10th Street in Adel, from 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Additionally, Helm says the auditor’s office will be open until 5pm this Friday and next Monday, November 6th. The last day of early voting in-person is on Monday. There will not be any special Saturday hours for in-person voting for this election.
Anyone who has requested an absentee ballot to be mailed to them has until Election Day on November 7th at 8pm to return those to the auditor’s office. Helm says absentee ballots can be dropped off to her office between 8am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday or it must be delivered by mail to her office by 8pm on Election Day to be officially counted.
