Greene County went 3-5 in football this season and placed fifth in Class 2A District 8 among six teams at 1-4. The Rams missed the playoffs for the first time since 2017. An usually high number of injuries and other circumstances prevented the coaching staff from putting the best players on the field. Head coach Caden Duncan also pointed to the running game not being as potent as usual, and the defense allowing more yards and points than in recent seasons.

The Rams allowed an average of 25 points per game overall, but that average increased to 36 points in the five losses. Season ending knee injuries early in the season to middle linebackers Cody Allen and Adam Bills didn’t help. Allen, a senior Captain, averaged more than five tackles per game in the three games he played. Sophomore Christopher Daugherty led the team with 48 tackles including nine tackles for loss. Senior Michael Rumley had 10 tackles for loss, which led the Rams. The team had 41 tackles for loss for the eight game season.
