The ADM girls’ cross country team took to the stage at the state meet as a tightly-knit unit, and their story is one of unity, determination, and collective achievement. Throughout the season, these young athletes ran as a pack, supporting each other every step of the way. While their top runner, Allie Eggleston, consistently led the team, it was her personal goal to motivate and push her teammates by leading by example and making a path for them.
At the state meet, Eggleston shared her feelings and thoughts after running at the state level, “Its really just that sense of relief where its that first step and than you’re done and you just feel so accomplished no matter where you placed or what your time was” Her words underscore the team’s focus on collective success rather than individual achievements.
Allie Eggleston placed 40th place, while Hannah Desmarais finished 76th, Paige Mattes 84th, Addy Bjork 90th, Cora Shirley-Brown 97th, Haley Nelson 127th, and Alexa Williams 130th.
