Monday night the AC/GC Chargers Volleyball team competed in the semifinal round.

Head Coach Barb South says she enjoyed seeing the girls have fun and play their last home game of the season, and was excited to see the teamwork that they used. The teams served over 93%, completing 93 of 99 serves, and collecting 16 aces. South mentions that every girl had a dig, with 3 girls collecting in the double digits, and Hayden Coffman getting 20.

The Chargers return to action tonight, as they head to Nevada, to take on the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines in the Class 2A Region 4 Championship match. Junior Shay Lemke leads the team in assists, with 619, averaging 7.4 per set, while freshman Stella Largent leads the team in kills, averaging 3.7 per set with a kill percentage of 19.2% and 4.4 points. Sophomore Camdyn Richter leads the team in total blocks with 19, averaging .2 per set, while senior Hayden Coffman leads the team in digs with 234 and averaging 2.8 per set, with fellow senior Mersadez Richter leading the team in serve aces with .7 per set on 4.7 attempts.

The Chargers are 21-10 on the season, while the Wolverines are 46-0. This is the first time the two teams will have faced each other. The game will begin at 7pm tonight, in the Nevada High School Fieldhouse.
