The Bock Family Foundation awarded 24 grants to nonprofit groups in northern Dallas County Monday afternoon, giving out $83,193 in their fall grant cycle.

The largest grants presented included: $9,350 to the P.A.C.E.S.(Perry’s Academic Cultural and Enrichment Services) before and after school program, the Perry Volunteer Firefighters received $9,340 for their hose management system and they awarded $8,000 to the Dallas County Conservation Board to construct the Raptor Exhibit for the Forest Park Museum. 

Since its founding in 2002, the Bock Family Foundation has now awarded more than $2.5 million to local nonprofits. The grants are awarded twice a year, in the spring and fall, and the next deadline for grant proposals is March 1st. The full list will be available here.

Perry Little League $2,600 for L screen, batting cage protector, batting mats & pitching machine

Perry Baseball Club $1,640 for catcher gear sets & equipment bags

Presby Childcare $3,700 for toys & equipment

Friends of Hotel Pattee Inc $5,000 for prep line equipment & upgrade electrical service

Perry Economic Development Inc $5,000 towards site-certification to expand Perry Industrial Park

Minburn City Hall $1,000 towards remodeling City Hall

City of Bouton $2,000 towards Bouton Trailhead

Woodward Public Library $1,000 for upgrading hot spots

Waukee Area Christian Services $1,000 towards fresh produce & culturally appropriate options during off season

De Soto Public Library $911.66 to Create Makerspace Center for STEM activities

Dallas Center United Methodist Church $1,000 towards Sound system
