The West Central Valley Wildcats fell to the Sigourney Keota Cobras 52-7 in the first round of the class 1A playoffs on Friday night ending their 2023 campaign. Sigourney opened up a 35-0 lead going into the locker room, as they put up 28 points in the first quarter. They then extended their lead out to 52 going into the 4th quarter. The Wildcats got on the board then to avoid the shutout. Junior Issac Bruns had 7 carries for 92 yards on the night, and rushed for 2 touchdowns for the Cobras.

The season didn’t end how West Central Valley would’ve liked to it to end, however it was a great season filled with positive momentum the Wildcats can take forward into next year.
