Tonight’s PM Sports Magazine KG98 Edition airs at 6 o’clock on KG98 and streams on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Segments are with Greene County High School junior Noah Hinote, Ram head football coach Caden Duncan, and a conversion between Raccoon Valley Radio sports announcers Shawn Kenney and Doug Rieder.

Hinote has qualified for his second Iowa High School State Cross-Country Meet, and he’ll be running on Saturday afternoon north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park in the Class 3A boys’ race. He qualified in Class 2A last season as a sophomore, and is one of the few boys’ in the history of the Jefferson-based program to have qualified for more than one State Meet as an individual.

Duncan recaps the 2023 football season, a campaign racked by injuries and other issues, preventing the Rams from having the same lineup two weeks in a row. Despite those obstacles, Greene County missed the Class 2A playoffs by a whisker and finished with three wins and five losses.

Kenney interviews Rieder about his latest honor, the Dan McCool Media Award, from the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association.
