The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board heard a quarterly update from Veterans Affairs Coordinator Beth Watson, who shared that she had had 59 office visits, 102 phone calls, and conducted four community events in the last quarter. She also mentioned that she will have another outreach event in December in the form of a Lunch and Learn at Mary J Barnett Memorial Library. Watson also shared that US Senator Chuck Grassley’s office had visited in September, and shared congressional complaint forms for her to give veterans she’s helping should they need them.
The meeting entered a short recess before holding a public hearing on selling the grader shed the county owned in Bayard to the City of Bayard. With no complaints or objections, the Board closed the public hearing, and approved a resolution for disposal of real property, which paves the way to sell the grader shed to Bayard.
